Pin Parvati Trek
 

Duration: 16 Nights / 17 days 
Max. Altitude: 4810 Mts. at the Pin Parvati Pass. 

The Pin Parvati valley of Spiti is considered the most beautiful in the region. The trek route crossing over from the Kullu valley takes you through most spectacular landscapes, and provides an experience to remember for life. The trek begins at Manikaran and winds along the raging Parvati River till the glaciated Pin-Parbati Pass (4900m). After crossing the pass the trail winds along the Pin river which is a tributary of the Spiti river. There is a dramatic variation in the scenery and also culture on crossing into Buddhist land of Spiti. We are now in a Buddhist region and here you will be able to visit some of the oldest monasteries like Ki Gompa, Tabo monastery & Kibber village and drive across the Kunzumla pass (4551m) to Manali and then to Delhi. 

Highlight: Delhi - Nalagarh- Manikaran - Mantalai Lake - Pin Valley - Ki Monastery -Kunzum La pass- Manali

Day by day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
 Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi - Nalagarh
Drive to Nalagarh. On arrival check into Hotel Nalagarh Fort. The Nalagarh Fort is situated near the Shivalik Hills near the base of the Himalayas. It was built by the rulers of Nalagarh, who were deeply interested in art and architecture. The present ruling family continues to stay at the heritage resort, which adds to its regal ambience. Nalagarh, a seven-hour drive from Delhi, is considered to be the gateway to Himachal Pradesh. Nalagarh Fort offers sweeping views of the Himalayan ranges. Overnight at Nalagarh Fort. 

Day 03: Nalagarh - Manikaran
Drive to Manikaran after breakfast. Manikaran is popular for honeymoon destination and trailhead for numerous treks as well as a great countryside ideal for adventure sport lovers. On arrival Manikaran transfer to the Hotel. Overnight at Hotel. 

Day 04: Manikaran
 Day at leisure to relax and explore the surroundings. Overnight at Hotel. 

Day 05: Manikaran - Pulga Village (2,791 m)
 Early morning start the trek along the River Parvati to reach Pulga- a small settlement of the 'Gaddi' shepherds. Overnight in Tent.


Day 06: Pulga Village - Khir Ganga (3,050 m)
 The trek through the forest to Khir Ganga is a pleasant walk except for one short steep climb in between. Khir Ganga is a holy place with a hot water spring, small temple of Lord Shiva and a bathing tank. This is the last chance to take a hot water bath on the trek. Overnight in Tent. 

Day 07: Khir Ganga - Tundah Bhuj (3, 205 m)
 The day starts with steady ascend to the gorge. Valley then widens and trail crosses several beautiful pastures supporting many types of wildflowers. There are some Gujjar/Gaddi shepherd encampments and this will be last human settlement you will be watching. Overnight in Tent. 

Day 08: Tundah Bhuj - Thakur Kuan (3, 400 m)
 The day will be spent crossing through rocks and dense vegitation. The trail is steep and hard in some sections close to Thakur Kuan (3400 Mts.). Overnight in tent. 

Day 09: Thakur Kuan - Mantalai Lake (4, 074 m)
 Today first you will cross a natural bridge known as Pandu Bridge. After that trail makes some ups and downs and then goes through flowered meadows. Overnight in Tent 

Day 10: Mantalai Lake- High Camp (4, 500 m)
 The trekking is challenging here, over a glacier and loose scree slopes. There is a beautiful grassy camp (4500 Mts. approx.) at the base of the Pass. Overnight in Tent.

Day 11: High Camp-Pin Parvati Pass (4900 m) - Pin Valley (4700 m)
The approach to the Pass is over a crevassed snowfield and all precaution is necessary on this section. After the pass descend over a steep slope to reach the first camp site in the Pin Valley (4700 Mts). Overnight in Tent.

Day 12: Pin Valley - Mud (3, 600 m)
The day begins with a gradual descend towards valley floor to village Mud. Overnight at Tent.

Day 13: Mud- Sangam – Kaza
 Trek from Mud to Sangam, the largest village in the Pin Valley. From Sangam you will be picked up by car and driven to Kaza. Spend the night at a hotel in Kaza. 

Day 14: Kaza-Manali
After a leisurely breakfast leave for Manali by road. On arrival check in hotel. Evening free for site seeing. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15: Manali- Chandigarh
After breakfast leave for Chandigarh. On arrival check in hotel. Evening free for site seeing. Overnight at hotel.

Day 16: Chandigarh-Delhi
After breakfast leave for Delhi. Lunch En route. On arrival check in hotel. Evening free for site seeing. Overnight at hotel.

Day 17: Depart Delhi
On time departure transfer to International airport, fly Delhi-Home.
