Main Features: Pushkar Fair & village tours

This tour is one of the most authentic tours of India, which takes around in the colorful state of Rajasthan in north India and gives you a first hand account of its rich culture and heritage with visits to the country side and stays in heritage hotels located in old palaces and forts. The pinnacle comes with amazing Pushkar camel fair happening in November. While staying in old heritage style of Maharajas (erstwhile royals) you get to see the Indian culture and traditions from the closest possible range and also the tour doesn’t remain just another tour, it becomes an experience of a life time. 

Day 01: Arrive Delhi – Jaipur by surface. (260 Kms, 5 – 6 hrs).
Arrive Delhi and later leave for Jaipur. On arrival in Jaipur check in hotel Country Inn & Suites. Evening free to explore on your own. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Jaipur.
Morning after breakfast sightseeing of the Pink City visiting Amber fort. One can also enjoy elephant ride here while climbing the fort. Later visit City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Palace of Winds. Evening free for a royal dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Jaipur – Pushkar by surface. (140 Kms, 2 - 3 hrs).
 Morning after breakfast leave for Pushkar by road. On arrival check in Pushkar fort (located right next to the fare ground). Later enjoy the camel fair. Evening free. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Pushkar.
Day to enjoy the camel fair in the outskirts of the town. First half of the day is for the inauguration of the fair. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05: Pushkar.
Full day free in Pushkar to be explored on your own. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Pushkar-Nimaj by surface. (105 Kms, 2-3 hrs)
Morning after breakfast leave for Nimaj.On arrival check in at Nimaj Palace. After lunch visit –Fort of Nimaj, Chhatra Sagar.

The fort of Nimaj was built in 1733 by the valiant ruler- Thakur Jagram Singh. Situated in the heart of the town, it is a massive structure built in traditional Rajput style with courtyards and separate wings for men & women. The little township is surrounded by places of historical interest, like the 9th century temple Magar Mandi, 3 kms away. Visit nearby villages to see local craftsmen at work & a little further see blackbucks, blue bulls etc.

Day 07: Nimaj- Rohetgarh. (105 Kms 2-3 hrs).
Morning after Breakfast Leave for Rohetgarh.On arrival check in at Hotel. Rest of the day free for activities of your own. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08: Rohetgarh.
This morning we take a jeep safari to the surrounding Bishnoi villages of Rohetgarh. Rohetgarh also offers optional activities such as horse-riding for those who are still looking for adventure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 09: Rohetgarh – Khimsar, by surface. (140 Kms, 4-5 hrs).
Morning after breakfast drive for Khimsar. On arrival check in Khimsar Fort (Heritage). Enroute visit Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and museum at Ummeid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. Have lunch at Jodhpur and proceed for Khimsar. Evening free to explore the fort. Overnight at hotel.

Khimsar Fort: Located at the edge of the Great Thar Desert in the heart of rural India, the unique fort at Khimsar offers a wide range of experiences. It is spread over 11 acres of sprawling lawns, and the unspoilt and well-preserved Khimsar Fort offers an unbelievable resort atmosphere with modern comforts, away from the hustle and bustle of polluted, cramped cities.

Day 10: Khimsar.
Morning after breakfast visit to the village on jeep. Not to be missed here is jeep safari to Black buck reserve (15 Kms away). Overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Khimsar – Mandawa by surface. (275 Kms, 5 - 6 hrs).
Morning after breakfast drive for Mandawa. On arrival check in MandawaCastle (Heritage). Evening free to explore the fort Mandawa. Overnight at hotel.

Mandawa Castle: Towering high above the town of Mandawa, this rugged handsome fort guides the tired and weary traveler to its portals. Built in 1775 by Thakur Nawal Singh, descendant of Rao Shekhaji, who also founded the city of Nawalgarh. The Castle, now a 51 room hotel has no two rooms alike. It also houses an interesting collection of paintings, jade, costumes and antiques.

Day 12: Mandawa.
Day to explore the havelies of the surrounding areas of Nawalgarh, Jhunjunu and Fatehpur. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Mandawa
Full Day free in Mandawa to relax or explore on your own the local areas and places of your own interest. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14: Mandawa – Delhi by surface. (180 Kms, 4-5 hrs).
After Breakfast lunch for Delhi and on arrival late in the evening.
